Student-Athlete Carson Quiros Earns Perfect GPA

A dynamic doubles team and a determined, sharpshooting 1,000-point scorer were among the exceptional student-athletes this spring who brought distinction to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ athletics on the court and in the classroom.
Eighty of them recorded a 4.0 grade-point average (GPA) for the semester, while 33 of them, including Carson Quiros, earned a 4.0 for the academic year. Nine upperclassmen maintained cumulative 4.0 GPAs.
Quiros, who recently graduated, majored in and while playing on Carnegie Mellon's Women's Soccer team.
"It has been quite a year for our athletics program. Our student-athletes continue to demonstrate that they can compete at the highest level academically and athletically," said Director of Josh Centor. "I am grateful for the way our student-athletes represent the university, both on and off the playing fields."
