We aim to study the societal consequences of technological change, develop innovative policy interventions that ensure the benefits of technological change are shared across society, and identify, develop, and promote the use of advanced technologies to address the social and economic needs of society.

Luca鈥檚 work focuses on the interplay among technology, human behavior, and business and policy decisions, examining how those forces shape market and societal outcomes. As director, he will lead the center鈥檚 efforts to understand and assess how emerging technologies are reshaping society and how decisions being made now by business leaders, policymakers, and technologists can shape what happens next.
