How to Connect to Wireless
There are many wireless network options available across campus, however that doesn't mean you should connect to the first one your device finds. Review the What wireless network do I need? section below to choose the correct network for your device(s).

What wireless network do I need?
ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ-SECURE
Use for devices that can access a browser, such as:
- Laptop and desktop computers
- Smartphones
- iPads and other tablets
ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ-DEVICE
Use for devices that cannot access a browser, such as:
- Smart TVs
- Streaming sticks, such as Roku's or Fire Sticks
- Gaming consoles
- Media players
- Digital Assistants, such as Alexa
ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ-GUEST
Use for visitors to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ.
This network is only used by guests who are visiting ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ. Faculty or staff may create a temporary access code to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ-GUEST for visiting members outside of the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ campus community.

Visiting from another academic institution? The eduroam service provides free wireless access at world-wide. Those visiting Carnegie Mellon from a member institution can access our wireless eduroam network using their university email address and password.
