Use and Verify ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Login (Entra ID)

You may be redirected to ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Login (Entra ID) when you attempt to access university services. If a service uses Entra ID, you will see the following sign-in prompts.

Step 1

Enter your full Andrew email address (userID@andrew.cmu.edu) and click Next.

  1. Verify that the URL in your browser's address bar matches:
  2. If the URL is correct, enter your Andrew password in the new ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ login screen.
  3. Authenticate with ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ 2fa (DUO) as prompted.
  4. (Optional) Select 'Yes' to the Stay signed in? Prompt.
  5. If login is successful, you will be automatically redirected back to the service.

 

Check the URL

Before entering your Andrew userID and password into the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Login page or authenticating with DUO, verify that the URL in your browser's address bar matches one of the following options:

  • https://login.cmu.edu/
  • https://login.qatar.cmu.edu/
  • https://login.microsoftonline.com/

Don't get phished: Cybercriminals can easily mimic ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ login pages. Always double-check the URL before typing your username and password.

Use and Verify ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Web Login (Shibboleth)

For services that still use ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Web Login (Shibboleth), you will be redirected to one of the following login screens when you attempt to access them.

  1. Verify that the URL in your browser's address bar matches one of the following options:
    • https://login.cmu.edu/
    • https://login.qatar.cmu.edu/

  2. If the URL is correct, log in with your Andrew userID and password.

  3. Authenticate with ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ 2fa (DUO) as prompted.

  4. If login is successful, you will be automatically redirected back to the service.
